To me, one of the joys of writing a book and having it published is the time you get to spend meeting the public. If people come to a book signing or a book festival, you can be sure they are there because they love to read.
Today, five authors got to do just that. Meet Ann Everett, author of Laid Out and Candle Lit, Don Martinez, author of The Advance Guard and Dinetah Dragon, Jeannie Barber, co-author of Scent of Double Deception and Lynn Hobbs, author of Sin, Secrets and Salvation, and, of course, me, Patty Wiseman, author of An Unlikely Arrangement., Oh, I am the one on the far left. LOL! We had a large support group today and so many well wishers and truly interested people.
If you are a reader, then you would have appreciated the diversity represented at this signing. We had something for everyone. A cozy armchair, historical romantic mystery, a humorous murder mystery with a spicy romance, a couple of fantasy novels, a contemporary romantic mystery, and a Christian Fiction. So you see, something for everyone.
I love to be around writers for the simple reason you find such interesting imaginations and personalities. Perfect fodder to help you drive forward your working novel. The ideas that flow in a circle like that, the comraderie and support is a valuable tool. Besides, it is so much fun!!
I urge everyone to support their local authors and when you do, you will find the most interesting people in the world.
I hope you watch for our next event and join us!!
