RAIN by Romance Author Patty Wiseman

In my dream, I hear the chimerical rumble of thunder
In my dream, I catch the quixotic scent of rain.

My skin tingles in anticiaption
Bliss filters through my brain.

In my dream, it's closer, almost here
In my dream, I await the spray.

My eyes close as I look toward heaven
In supplication as I pray.

In my dream, I feel the droplets
In my dream, they caress my face.

Cool, life-giving, refreshing water
So long gone from this place.

In my dream, I give thanks
In my dream, I humbly bow.

I rest; eyes closed as I receive it
My dream must suffice for now.
